FINALLY
I finally got around to watching Torchwood: Children of Earth. Thank you, Nick, for getting me a copy of all five parts to it. It would've taken me forever to get it, and I don't have digital cable and so I would've missed the BBCA showing.
Now that I've watched it, I'm really sad. They seem to have ended this five-part episode to make it look as though it is the end of the show. At the height of its popularity, too. The first series (or season in the US) was aired on BBC3, then the second on BBC2, moving up a notch. It reaches BBC1, and it looks like it could very well be the end. Sigh. I love this show, and it hurts me to think that's all there will be.
Not only does the possible end of the show sadden me, but the storyline was a tear-jerker, too. Very emotional, depressing really... but really well done. As Mike said last night, "This is definitely the adult version of the Doctor Who franchise."
I really hope it's not the end, but at the same time, it does make for a good ending.
(purposely not talking about the episode to avoid leaving spoilers for anyone who still hasn't seen it)
