Boo!
- missing Towel Day.
- motion sickness.
- not having enough time on vacation to Maui.
- Puka's eye infection healed... only for the other eye to start looking infected.
Yay!
- getting some pretty nice pictures from Maui. to be posted later, when I have more time.
- actually having some real work to do.
- spending an entire weekend with Mike (and he didn't go to work).
- spicy poke and rice for lunch.
- one more step closer to getting Puka all healed and de-parasited. vet visit today, hopefully get her tapeworm meds (she's gotten a lot bigger since the last time I took her to the vet).
Show us something you can't resist.

The tradewinds disappeared yesterday, so we got the vog again. We're heading to Maui on Saturday, going up to Haleakala on Sunday morning (I doubt early enough to see the sunrise... that's insane early) and I'd like to be able to SEE ANYTHING from up there. I want to take photos and such, y'know?
I've picked up a few things here and there for the little getaway. Not sure if we'll use it yet (snorkel and mask), but if not, we'll just return it.
Crap... I keep forgetting to check the expiration date on the Dramamine I have at home. Hopefully I don't have to pick up a new batch.
What's your favorite midnight snack?

I'd have to say Cheetos All Natural White Cheddar Puffs. They are oh so yummy.
We're going to Maui this weekend, and these were plans that we had before we got a kitten that needs medication. I had talked with my old boss, who is also a former vet tech, and she offered to petsit at any time, so I asked if she could watch Puka when we were on Maui. She said no problem.
Of course I should've guessed that she wouldn't be on the island. It's a long weekend, which usually means her and her family goes on a trip somewhere. I thought it was too good to be true when she said she could do it.
Now... I am calling different places to see if there's someone who can watch Puka for the weekend.... this sucks.
I loathe:
- vog. it gives me headaches, and it kicks Mike's ass every time. He ALMOST got through it without having to go to the doctor... the vog cleared up on Sunday, but came back on Monday, and that Monday attack forced him into coughing fits. So, I took him to the doctor and he got the Zpack (5-day antibiotic).
- hot weather. it's starting to heat up, and me with no AC in my car.
- stupid people.
- better sale prices when I already bought an item the week before. I bought a 250GB Western Digital portable hard drive one week, for $109, then the following week the store had a 320GB Toshiba portable hard drive for $120. I like Toshiba and would've preferred that, but oh well.
- missing the end of an eBay auction. I was going to buy an old, Edo period wakizashi blade for my brother's birthday. it needs work, so it would've been a great project for him... alas, I fell asleep before the end of the auction and missed it.
I love:
- mini-vacation. it'll be nice to get away for a little while, even though that means the possibility of sitting in even THICKER vog, and also not seeing Puka for the weekend.
- tomato sauce/marinara. it's so yummy.
- having a nice night with shuffleboard and darts.
- the fact that we have a good, strong AC in our living room. It keeps the air filtered and dehumidified.
- fish & chips.
- nap time.
- my kitty Puka.
What's your favorite type of cheese? Or, if you don't like cheese, why not?

What an odd little QotD. and only a lactose intolerant person would not love cheese.... and some lactose intolerant people love cheese anyway!
There's this really great smoked cheddar cheese at the commissary deli. it's very, very yummy. I like cheddar, and the sharper the better.
Actually, visit to the Café is imminent. I just browsed "The Daily Dish" which is a blog on the HonoluluAdvertiser.com, and the photos and review of some of the food items are great.
Here's a screenshot of what I want to try that was listed on The Dish:
