What project are you working on right now that's not work related?
Coming up with possible designs for a Hawaii Gagaku Society 40th Anniversary t-shirt, organizing a Swap Meet Sale fund raiser and possibly setting up a concert or two for the Hawaii Gagaku Society (at malls, etc.).
Tradewinds... please come back? This weekend is the swap meet fund raiser, and I am going to be outside, in the hot, humid Hawai'i summer, probably sun beating down, and to top it all off... the VOG is going to kill my sinuses. Fuck. if the tradewinds don't come back... I'm screwed.
What is your personal motto?
Don't regret things that you have done. Those things are what makes you who you are today. Life is always full of hardship; it's making it through those hardships that make life even better, knowing you got through tough times.
I missed last week. oh well.
だいきらい:
- crappy hair rubberbands. When they get loose and they don't work well anymore? A lot of times I will buy them at the store and it will already be crappy. I hate that the most, since I paid money for the stupid thing and can't even use it once!
- headaches. This past weekend (starting from Thursday, actually) was hectic for me. Busy. It was either the lack of good sleep, or just doing too much shit one after the other, but my head was really hurting. Sunday was probably the worst (the next one is in addition to the Sunday headache).
- my dad's driving. Everyone should GET OFF THE ROAD WHEN MY DAD DRIVES. He is insane. He is everything I hate about stupid drivers... and then I can't tell him anything about it, because if he's driving, he'll simply say, "Hey, I'M driving, not you." He speeds, he tails the car in front of him (even when going downhill), speeds and switches lanes without using his indicator, etc. I carpooled with him for Sunday's performance and that added to the headache. Bleh.
- the corner of my laptop. It's cracked, and I don't know if there's anything I can do to fix it. Mike said superglue might do it, but I haven't tried yet.
- my brothers' lack of support for the Hawaii Gagaku Society. I'm running the Swap Meet Sale this Sunday, and I had asked BOTH my brothers if they would be able to help with it. I asked them about a month ago, and they both said, "Oh, that's too far in the future, I don't know if I'll be busy or not." Shit... why can't you MAKE THIS WHAT YOU ARE DOING ON THAT DAY? I hate the flaky attitude dealing with it... I don't want to rely on them because they say they MIGHT be available, and then find out they won't be helping. Fuck that... I can't deal with flaky.
だいすき:
- hanging out with friends. This is always fun, because anyone I call friends are actually fun people. Why would I be friends with them if they were boring?
- having a bunch of things to do at work. This past week was pretty busy at work. The president and vice president of our company came down to our office to help with interviews for the Assistant Manager position. I've been making calls, putting together a schedule, printing paperwork, etc. Wow... that's more work than (censored for safety of employment) .
- getting ready for the Swap Meet Sale. I'm sure when Saturday comes along, I'll start stressing out about the whole thing... but right now, I'm really looking forward to it. I think it'll be a lot of fun, and to see things sell and add to our 40th Anniversary Fund will be great. Thanks to Cheryl, Kristie Lisa and Erin (in advance, I haven't picked it up from her yet) for donating items.
- planning on designing a t-shirt for the Hawaii Gagaku Society. We want to make a t-shirt for the 40th anniversary, and give each Nihon Gagaku Society member a shirt, and sell the rest. I'm hoping to get the design done by Monday for the board meeting.
- vegetables. Can't live without 'em.
- free meals from the president and vice president of the company. Who doesn't like free food?
- free online games. I found one called "Shape Inlay" on Yahoo!Games, and I'm addicted.

I'ma crowbar yo ass!
I was transferring photos from my camera to my laptop yesterday. There was some sort of error on my SD card and it stopped transferring. There were two folders in the card: 102_PANA and 103_PANA. It had stopped transfer on 103_PANA because the error was in there.
It didn't copy 102_PANA to my laptop and I already formatted the SD card to get rid of the error.
Fuck this stupid card. if there wasn't that error, I wouldn't be missing a bunch of photos I took at the Maui Ocean Center. I'm missing most of the pictures from 850-999. I was able to salvage some photos from my work computer (mostly Puka pics), but all the pics from 859-999 are gone. Most of which were pics from Maui.
I'm just glad that my pics from Haleakala were in the 103_PANA folder. We went to Haleakala on the second day, and the pics that are missing are from the first day, which would include any Superferry pics from Oahu to Maui. I'm trying to recall what I took on the first day, and I think most of it is from the Maui Ocean Center (the first batch of photos in the 103 folder are of the Maui Ocean Center, too, so I know it's gotta be from there).
I guess I just have to look on the bright side and realize... they are gone, but at least I didn't lose it all.
