Wow... July already. Damn, time is going by fast.
Loathing:
- people! and their horrible driving!! Just last week, a 54-year-old man was killed when he was clipped by another vehicle in a merge (the driver of the other vehicle apparently didn't see him, but at the same time the 54-year-old man didn't slow down when his lane was merging into the other lane). I was almost hit by someone switching into my lane because I just happened to be in their blind spot and they didn't bother looking. Come on people... this is elementary driving rules.
- not having a weekend. I have to admit, it was exciting and all, but I was so exhausted after the whole thing. There wasn't any real time to relax this weekend.
- Puka likes Mike more than me.
- Mike throwing shit around when he's mad. Yeah, for those who know Mike but don't know him THAT well... you don't see his angry side. He starts swearing non-stop and will throw things. it's not fun.
Loving:
- the end result of the busy weekend. We did our Swap Meet Sale on Sunday (and preparations on Saturday), and we raised a good deal of money for our Concert Fund. Next project: Ala Moana Center Stage performance, with possible t-shirt sales and/or donations.
- Doctor Who. It's coming to the end of the season, which is sad, but it's pretty damn exciting. Quite a bit of suspense... can't wait to see what happens in the season finale!
- Captain Jack Harkness in the Doctor Who two-part season finale! Need I say more?
- Bayfest on Sunday. Everclear and LiVE coming to perform. I'm not a huge Everclear fan, but I used to be a huge LiVE fan. Not as much now, but the one concert in Houma, Louisiana is still fresh in my memory as one of the best concerts I've seen. There's gonna be quite the photo opp.... and Mandy might be able to get backstage passes. not sure yet, but still hoping to get it :)
- designing the Hawaii Gagaku Society 40th Anniversary t-shirt.
We're going to be placing an order very soon. Anyone out there want to order one? They will be sold for $12. The front left chest image is my dad's signature drawing, what he uses when he writes to friends and family.
- not sticking to a strict diet, yet keeping weight regulated. I couldn't stick to the 11 Day Diet while working the Swap Meet... it was just soooo crazy. I'm still keeping the complex carbs to a minimum.
What project are you working on right now that's not work related?
Coming up with possible designs for a Hawaii Gagaku Society 40th Anniversary t-shirt, organizing a Swap Meet Sale fund raiser and possibly setting up a concert or two for the Hawaii Gagaku Society (at malls, etc.).
I missed last week. oh well.
だいきらい:
- crappy hair rubberbands. When they get loose and they don't work well anymore? A lot of times I will buy them at the store and it will already be crappy. I hate that the most, since I paid money for the stupid thing and can't even use it once!
- headaches. This past weekend (starting from Thursday, actually) was hectic for me. Busy. It was either the lack of good sleep, or just doing too much shit one after the other, but my head was really hurting. Sunday was probably the worst (the next one is in addition to the Sunday headache).
- my dad's driving. Everyone should GET OFF THE ROAD WHEN MY DAD DRIVES. He is insane. He is everything I hate about stupid drivers... and then I can't tell him anything about it, because if he's driving, he'll simply say, "Hey, I'M driving, not you." He speeds, he tails the car in front of him (even when going downhill), speeds and switches lanes without using his indicator, etc. I carpooled with him for Sunday's performance and that added to the headache. Bleh.
- the corner of my laptop. It's cracked, and I don't know if there's anything I can do to fix it. Mike said superglue might do it, but I haven't tried yet.
- my brothers' lack of support for the Hawaii Gagaku Society. I'm running the Swap Meet Sale this Sunday, and I had asked BOTH my brothers if they would be able to help with it. I asked them about a month ago, and they both said, "Oh, that's too far in the future, I don't know if I'll be busy or not." Shit... why can't you MAKE THIS WHAT YOU ARE DOING ON THAT DAY? I hate the flaky attitude dealing with it... I don't want to rely on them because they say they MIGHT be available, and then find out they won't be helping. Fuck that... I can't deal with flaky.
だいすき:
- hanging out with friends. This is always fun, because anyone I call friends are actually fun people. Why would I be friends with them if they were boring?
- having a bunch of things to do at work. This past week was pretty busy at work. The president and vice president of our company came down to our office to help with interviews for the Assistant Manager position. I've been making calls, putting together a schedule, printing paperwork, etc. Wow... that's more work than (censored for safety of employment) .
- getting ready for the Swap Meet Sale. I'm sure when Saturday comes along, I'll start stressing out about the whole thing... but right now, I'm really looking forward to it. I think it'll be a lot of fun, and to see things sell and add to our 40th Anniversary Fund will be great. Thanks to Cheryl, Kristie Lisa and Erin (in advance, I haven't picked it up from her yet) for donating items.
- planning on designing a t-shirt for the Hawaii Gagaku Society. We want to make a t-shirt for the 40th anniversary, and give each Nihon Gagaku Society member a shirt, and sell the rest. I'm hoping to get the design done by Monday for the board meeting.
- vegetables. Can't live without 'em.
- free meals from the president and vice president of the company. Who doesn't like free food?
- free online games. I found one called "Shape Inlay" on Yahoo!Games, and I'm addicted.
